Owls Released on Borana

Last Thursday, a caravan landed on the Borana airstrip bearing a basket of owls from The Raptor Rehabilitation Centre in Nairobi.

There were three Spotted Eagle Owls named - Yeti, Tom and Lana - they were released in the Acacia xanthaphlea forest below the dam.

Kilu - the African Wood Owl was released at the the Sacred Squirrel Dam - finding an inviting Fig Tree to move into. We wish them all well and hope that they breed and prosper here.

Well done to the Rehabilitation Centre in Nairobi for doing a such a fantastic job saving these birds.
